#SLA2084Y Fake Mercedes Car With Invalid Singapore Plate Creating Havoc At Johor Bahru

SLA2084Y – Mercedes car, with a fake invalid Singapore plate, driving recklessly and creating havoc at an open-air street food market along Jalan Sutera, near the old Plaza Sentosa area (Johor Bahru).

Under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 (Malaysia), for driving recklessly and dangerously on the road, the offence carries a penalty of disqualification of driving license up to five years, jail term remains up to five years and the maximum fine between RM5,000 to RM10,000 for the first offence.

Under Section 108(3)(f) of Malaysia’s Road Transport Act 1987, for exhibits on any motor vehicle any licence or identification mark, plate or document which does not belong to such vehicle, the offence carries a fine of at least RM5,000 and not more than RM20,000, or a jail term of not less than a year and not exceeding five years, or both. Under the Road Traffic Act (RTA), the penalty for displaying a forged number plate in Singapore is a fine of up to S$5,000, jail of up to a year, or both, in Singapore.
